Victoria Nwasike is President & CEO of Goldencrest Global. Before forming Goldencrest Global, Victoria was the Manager of International Business Development for the Iowa Economic Development Agency and was responsible for spearheading the state’s foreign direct investment initiatives, advancing Iowa’s favorable business climate internationally to attract capital investment, and managing foreign direct investment projects.
Victoria travelled internationally giving presentations and meeting with companies around the world, including: Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; Denmark, Copenhagen; Munich, Germany; Frankfurt, Germany; Brussels, Belgium; Singapore; Bangkok, Thailand; Taipei, Taiwan; Paris, France; New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, India; Shanghai and Beijing, China. Victoria has directed trade missions for Iowa Governor Terry E. Branstad to various locations in Asia.
Victoria also served as a Manager for the International Trade Office at the Iowa Economic Development Authority where Victoria provided educational and technical export assistance to companies, organized in-bound international buyer groups, hosted and coordinated high-level international delegations, identified trade barriers, and assisted with international market research to facilitate Iowa companies with foreign market access strategies.
Victoria was appointed by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad as the Public Sector Board Member for the Midwest – U.S. Japan Association. Victoria was also nominated by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and selected by the European Union to participate in the European Union Visitors Program in 2013, primarily focusing on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. Additionally, Victoria was appointed by Governor Chet Culver to serve as a Commissioner on the Iowa Commission on the Status of African-Americans.
Prior to joining the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Victoria practiced law with the Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines, IA in the firm’s Litigation and International Law divisions. Victoria served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Gritzner for the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Iowa. Victoria has served as an Adjunct Professor for Drake University Law School teaching Conflict of Laws. Victoria also served as an Adjunct Professor for the College of Business and Public Administration at Drake University, teaching International Law.
Victoria holds a Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School where she graduated with High Honors in 2008. Victoria also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from George Mason University where she studied abroad at The University of Oxford, England, completing the Global Strategy; Institutional Development & Political Economy Seminar Series. Victoria completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida in 2000.
